Did you know that geometry is one of the oldest mathematical sciences? It was formally created by Euclid in the 3rd century BC. That is over 2300 years ago. If you are my student, about 15 years old, that means it is about 153 times older than you. And you thought your grandparents were old.
Famous Math Quote
If you think dogs can't count, try putting three dog biscuits in your pocket and then giving Fido only two of them.
This is the video covering the first part of lesson 3.1. Intro to 3.1
To all my students who I had this year. I want you to know I really enjoyed teaching you this year. I wish you all the success in the world and please have a great summer.
Next year I'll be teaching Algebra 2 and Pre-Cal. With that being said, this website will probably start to have Algebra 2 and Pre-Cal videos. I will also continue working on the geometry videos and practice problems because I love geometry and want to complete that part of my website. Please remember that this website is a work in progress. If you are trying to watch a video on my website and nothing is happening, it is because I haven't made a video on that topic. (I've gotten several emails on this topic recently.)
The video might take a little while to play. Please be patient.
Finding Sector Area of a Circle
In this video, I explain the definition of a sector and how to find the sector area of a circle. I work 2 example problems, one for finding the sector of a circle and the other to find the radius of a circle with a given sector area.
This website is dedicated to mostly geometry because I'm a geometry teacher. At some point, I plan on putting basic math up to calculus on this website. Included on this website will be videos of geometry throughout the year, interactive practice where you can practice your math skills, and copies of lessons and homework. Keep in mind this is a work in progress. I'm adding to this website as time goes by. I probably won't be able to complete every part of this website this year.
